I'm going to bypass that as it'll fade and it was unimportant.

Instead, I'd like to comment the thread is becoming too confrontational. We're getting a bit beyond the dialogue we're actually here to share. I don't think anyone wants to come to this thread and watch folks attacking each other.

So this is an appeal for folks--yup, the folks on the left; and the folks on the right--to get back to the high ground of sharing meaningful information instead of attacking each other.

Vitas just brought up an interesting point about the former Iraqi scientist who, although opposed to the war, is now claiming Saddam's got the goods buried underground. Anyone have any more info on that? Is what he's writing about credible? Or was the scientist promised a new lab and tenure somewhere in America or the presidency of Bagdad U., much like the US is doing by trying to buy off Turkey? What are the facts to his assertion? Anyone in the know?
