the RANCH STYLE beans..ah.. "crack" was a reference to El Patron Polvito's one day in my great city of Austin. He was in and out before I could set him straight on dining and ended up at a over-priced joint out on LAke Travis where they served him ,,and I quote.."Ranch Style Beans from a can"..needless to say he was unimpressed. As it turns out his Nina lives very close to my favorite restaurant in all of Austin....so I'm hoping next time she'll set him up there with a side of their fabulous Charro beans to accompany anything on their menu...it's all good. Strangely enough the exact afternoon that he was at that other restaurant I was in the area..as in within his view..lake view
