Except many of Iraq's work force will likely be dead, especially if we have urban combat in Baghdad. Remember the pouplation is 42 percent children under 15.

By the way, Brumar. Do you know that nobody--at least to my knowledge, I haven't been able to read all of the 513 messages now in my inbox--has adequately answered my question:

When is the last time in modern warfare history that a city of 5.5 million people, protected by an entrenched, fortified and conventionally equipped military of 300,000, been invaded? What city was it and what was the result, like how many died?

You'd think I'd have had a pretty good answer by now. Not one city, to my knowledge has been named. Care to try again? I think you gave me some form of an answer to this, but not the specific answer to the specific question. Perhaps Vitas would like to take this one on--lol!
