"That's precisely what war is,..." I don't disagree that it can be reduced to arena sport mentality. I do disagree that this is precisely what war is. There are some overriding perspectives we can take on war that have validity, such as: 1) Its all about who owns or controls real estate, 2) Its all about power and who can wield their influence over the cultures and societies of the world, 3) Its a points game 4)It is a last resort used to resolve injustice in the world that cannot be reconciled through diplomatic means. I pick number four.
