Well, the Boston Tea Party certainly did show the British then, didn't it? <g> And left a lot of Colonials without tea...but perhaps with a few bits of change in their pocket with fewer taxes for awhile....

Wonder if the cost of the tea they dumped into the harbor in Boston, has been valued in todays dollars? It was so rare and costly in those days, that the Tea Party was a HUGE statement!

Also, because of the price of tea, the Tea Caddy's were important fixtures of a household then....and why now the antique ones are so expensive!

Ah...trivia....Isn't it wonderful?
