Bush cut the funding to destroy all the dangerous materials that were on the loose from the breakup of the former Soviet Union.......................no one knows where that stuff is either. We aren't fighting a war over who is selling it to whom............Bin Ladin probably has a better chance of buying it from one of those impoverished nations. They need the money more than Saddam does..............and yet Bush isn't worried about them? It's only because he can scare guys like you into believing him.

It would be far less bloody to fund the Soviet program and eliminate Saddam's weapons by containment.

>>you can't deal with reality.<<

yowsa laz!

I believe most on the " give peace a chance " side of the discussion are indeed DEALING with reality. The Reality is :

People who have no say into who lives and who dies are usually the ones that get hurt the most,on BOTH sides of the conflict. That's why a draft(without exception) during a military campaign or build - up can make people think twice before waving the flag and shouting...

LET'S ROLL!!

Because it is them or their children or close friends and relatives that have to do the rolling. It's one thing to sit comfortably in your favorite chair and watch the carnage on your big screen HDTV,it's entirely another to be there or have a loved one or friends there.

America has never faced the possibility of urban combat in an undetermined invironment.NEVER.So unless you think this potential war can be a success from thirty thousand feet, forgeddaboutit.

Or unless you think this war can be a success by totally obliterating any remnants of what was Iraq , forgeddaboutit.

This is NOT Kosovo.

This is not Panama.

This is not even Korea or Vietnam.

I'm not saying there would not be victory of some sort, but there will be a price to pay, both during and after, and all options have not yet been exausted on what might be considered a hasty judgement.

THAT'S THE REALITY.

Got it?<gg>
