Have you been watching the Israeli soldiers in person ? Have you ever been in Israel ? Don't believe everything you read in the papers, especially stories about far away countries. Most totalitarian regimes give the people the appearance of democracy. Iran and Iraq both have parliaments. The Romanian people under the dictatorship of the notorious Chouchesko (sp?) thought they had democracy and free press. It is not that different in western countries, only the government uses more subtle (and humane) measures to make sure the public agenda is kept on topics it wants to put in front. The plea of African countries to Western countries to break intellectual property laws in order to get low cost drugs that would save the lives of Millions was on the public agenda for not more then two days. What is Intellectual Property anyway ? Isn't that an oxymoron ? How can anyone own Music or a formula ? It's even worse with digital data - what one "owns" is the particular order in which a set of symbols for 0 and 1 (be it magnetic - like in DDs, mechanic - like in CDs or electronic on memory chips) are set.
