"you really need to open your eyes and broaden your narrow scope of the world, you're living in a very dangerous place, you're not in Disneyworld anymore..."

GZ,

Last night I had dinner with someone who owns a house in Ramallah. Another couple was at the dinner party that had just returned from Jordan yesterday. The Jordanian woman had attended medical school in Iraq. ANother gal there was from Jerusalem, the daughter of a policeman on the Palestine side of Israel.

The scope of my opinions hardly could be classified as being shaped by Disneyworld..

No one I know, including the Arabs I had dinner with last night, like Saddam or are under the illusion that he is a "nice guy".

We believe that Saddam should be neutralized, but we believe that it can be accomplished by containment. We do not support the brutality of war and believe that the people of Iraq will suffer needlessly because of it. In fact, the people of the whole region risk suffering because of the war.

Peace should be given every chance..............war is only the last resort.

We cannot, as a country, start a precedence of using our big guns on people that might do something years from now. The decision to use deadly force should only come as a last resort. That's a dangerous and deadly path for our country to begin....................it's called imperialism.
