Adjusting to mediocre realities... ========== The "no text messaging" on a "youth" phone went through my mind also. I tried sending a text message to my 3585 and so far, it has NOT come through. So, maybe Sprint is marketing it for the "older youth/mid-30's, budget conscious, Nokia loving, non "text messaging" niche... Yes I do (have a text message plan) and NO, my wife NEVER received the text message/SMS...whatever you want to call it. ========== Like I said months ago this phone will not have a browser and Sprint's Subscriber Equipment dept. never plans on releasing an updated software for the 3585i to enable the browser feature. I don't know why know one believes me. ========== I think I am going to return the phone. There are too many features disabled on this phone. The vibrate alert you can bearly feel. The phone is really cheap, the sound quality is not as good as my 6185 in my opinion. The ring tones are nice. I wait 2 years for this. They have to do better than this. All the hype for nothing. They need to enable all the features. My nokia plantronics headset does not even work with the phone. ========== I am not concerned about the color, I am more concerned about how the phone works and the many features missing from this phone. I am going to the Sprint store to see if there is a firmware upgrade. If not the phone is going back. howardforums.com
