1)Initial Claims expected 385k, initial claims actual 405k. 2)Trading Balance expected -39billiuon, Trading Balance actual -44billion 3)LEI flat/flat at 0.00%----NEWS FLASH they gave WRONG number this morning---it was not flat, it was minus 0.1% 4)12:03 ET Philly Fed weaker than expected : The Philly Fed index fell to 2.3 in Feb, down from 11.2 in Jan and below the 11.0 consensus. It is not that surprising to see this decline given the weakness seen in Tuesday's Empire State survey. The volatility in these indexes doesn't shed much light on the underlying trend in the manufacturing sector, which still looks to be pretty flat. The market has slipped just a bit on this number but no sustained impact is likely. Conclusin--we close with rally up we got a smokin gun that PPT is working overtime.See they negotiated a decent gap opening. Motivation--- pre-war polls, don't want people to be disgruntled by the ticker.
