I doubt we have much to disagree on....The economics of the situation usually take care of those marginal producers you mentioned soon enough, and it is by no means an easy trip for the efficient among us....The American farmer has very few peers world wide and that is a fact that we are allowed to take for granted.... Any of my many criticisms of our farm programs have to be tempered by the theory that even the most backward of countries needs some form of agricultural production in order to not be totally reliant on others for sustenance....
