yes. that is true. But it still helps to reinforce the idea that short selling is prolonging the bear market. I am convinced that the short sellers are the only thing keeping the market from collapsing right now. It is the longs who are selling who are driving the market down, not the shorts. But the fact that the SEC would even acknowledge the idiots behind the letter writing campaign, says that they are totally out of touch with reality. They are basically protecting outright criminals. And more than one of them can be found here on SI and on ihub.
