WAY OFF TOPIC, re: repeating history:

German beauty queen seeking peace date with Saddam

ananova.com

I remember some Italian beauty queen offering to sleep with Saddam for peace back in 1991. Can anyone refresh my memory here?

Tenchusatsu, RE: We're likely going to repeat history.

Outside the fact that we might go to war with Iraq once more, I don't see a single other similarity between the situation now and the situation in '91.

OT Hi Tenchusatsu, RE: "Funny how the collective memory of society doesn't go any further back than the last episode of Survivor."

Let's hope society's memory doesn't recall Joe the Millionaire. Or, to even the score, maybe they should have the program, Mary the Multi-Millionaire.

Re: Worldcom's exec package (from another post)

The judge made him hand over his 40 acre ranch to Worldcom. Bad time to get into real estate.

Re: Yahoo

Yahoo's transition from a high-tech company to a media company is finally complete - reportedly no more stock options for employees. The CEO (from the media industry) retains a large portion of his options.
