I told you it was easier to do the Strategy in Reverse.

Naahh. We know from Woodward's book that Saddam was on the list after 911. It has to be a Winter liberation. We couldn't do it in the winter of '02, we were still wrapping up Afghanistan and were not ready. It had to be this winter. The only internal decision was in/out of the UN. We went in, and timed it to come out of the when we would be ready, which is this month. If you can't see that, you are looking at the bushes and trees instead of the Forest.

We are in better shape by trying to use the UN, and then going without them, than not trying. Gives the left less to holler about. Historians will see this as a flawless buildup, both Military and Diplomatic. We did what we could, and got the end result we wanted. The fact that the "day to day" that we have been going though and posting about is messy is just the normal friction caused by accomplishing things. When you look back in History, you will see that similar events were just as, or more, messy.
