re:Angry Americans aim ire at France

...Rick Steves, a travel writer and tour organizer, says his guide to Paris remains the second-most popular of his 25 travel books, behind Italy. He doesn't expect that to change. ''Just because a government's doing something, you don't take it out on the people,'' he says.

We're not talking about a dictatorship here - France is a democracy and actions taken by the government are done so on behalf of the people.

"France wants more evidence. The last time France wanted more evidence, it rolled right through France with a German flag." - David Letterman

"The only way the French are going in is if we tell them we found truffles in Iraq." - Dennis Miller

"There is nothing lower than the human race except the French." - Mark Twain

Do you know how many Frenchmen it takes to defend Paris? It's not known, it's never been tried.

Somebody was telling me about the French Army rifle that was being advertised on eBay the other day — the description was, `Never shot. Dropped once.'
