Looks like FSTW will have some competition in their quest for acquisition candidates. Epicor recently completed a private placement for $5.7 million.

"With our strengthened balance sheet, we can continue to pursue synergistic acquisitions that could generate incremental revenue and growth opportunities by adding to our installed base of customers."

And, yesterday's Epicor announcement that they have expanded their relationship with MSFT means more competition for FSTW in the CRM products and services area.

"The agreement also provides an opportunity for Epicor to extend the features and functionality of Microsoft CRM through an integration of its Clientele CRM suite of solutions, including Epicor's most recent offering Clientele eMarketing."

"Epicor will continue to deliver its award-winning CRM solutions to small and midsize enterprises looking to drive efficiency with solutions that provide high-level functionality yet maintain a low total cost of ownership. The agreement with Microsoft Business Solutions will enable Epicor to apply its CRM expertise and resources to customers of Microsoft CRM, broadening Epicor's reach."

Hmmmmm ... I wonder why FSTW wasn't selected? Heck, they paid $900,000 to play in the .NET game. They should have at least been considered for this gig.

I got a kick out of his "snappy comeback".

"Hank and I have put our money where our mouth is."

I guess he's not quite astute enough to realize you also did that. Your money is someplace other than FSTW.

His "snappy comeback" is just part of the hype machine kicking into gear. He belittles his opponents because of their investment decisions instead of offering meaningful insight into FSTW, its market and its management. The "insight"s he offers can be found in RTB quotes and in PRs. He doesn't know what some of it means, but it sure sounds good.

Whatever ... expect more hype soon. The quarter is half over. It's about time to build up to the big climax. That makes it a good time to be buck-trading FSTW.

I expect another PR in a week or so.
