Probably none. we can't even afford to build new schools here in the US. Heck, Bush didn't fully fund his own education bill!!

ABC radio news was reporting that the US deficit has now reached one trillion dollars. Bush is now going to COngress to pass a bill that will allow him to increase the ceiling on it..............God only knows how high.

Why don't you go ask the Peace Corps how many schools and hospitals they have built in Afghanistan (more that Hussein I assure you) and then ask yourself how much Federal Grant funds go to the Peace Corps.

You are ill informed and terribly misguided.

How many schools and hospitals is the USA planning on building in Afghanistan???

Planning on building?? As many as necessary...

Why don't you ask how many the US military (notably Green Beenies and Engineer) have ALREADY built??

Here's one:

And whereever civil affairs personnel are active, you can bet they are working to rebuild schools. It's one of the primary means of gaining the confidence of the local population (in addition to medical care and digging wells)..

I've been personnally involved in some of these humanitarian missions while stationed in Central America.. I can vouch for how it truly touches these people who have been forgotten/abandoned by their own leaders.
