I thought the recession began in 2001. Most people would agree with me. That would coincide well with the recession back in 1990.

Yes, the last recession began in 2001.

And ended in 2001.

To coincide well with the '90 recession, the war would have started in Jan 2002 and would have been well over with in Jan 2002, too.

Desert Storm was in Jan '91.
