From pain itself it is not possible to say.

I did a post elsewhere based on TRIN and TRINQ that suggests down.

Based on TRIN (less so on TRINQ), suggests that no one is really interested in forcing this up above pain. Most indicators (other that $SOX), suggest pretty heavy selling.

That $SOX prop job is the only thing preventing a collapse here. If we close at or below pain, I think we haed down for 1-2 weeks. I will fee more stronly about that if we close below QQQ 24.5 (that to me will be a sign that some players might already be short).

The repeated rallies up to resistance, followed by selloffs is not bullish IMO but bearish churning and dumping of the stocks they bought to ram this wreck back to pain. Volume did not support thios rise, nor did bonds, gold, or the US$. In short, I see negative divergences all over the place.

Now if we can just avoid that 2:22 central time jam job we have been getting at eod, I will be a lot happier.
