His reply isn't meaningless. You just, for reasons I could speculate about, but which might get me banned from this board - let me just say you are sufficiently nimble in your objections - that you don't wish to see discussed here the absolute reality of the murderous, fascist nature of Hussein's regime and what it implies for peace, war, freedom and tyranny.

Similarly, you don't want to see discussed the reality of the murderous, fascist nature of of the extreme islamist movement.

Since we will discuss these realities anyway, you do your best to discredit such discussion by absurdly quoting as evidence of some kind of impropriety, or lapse of rigour, something called Godwin's law, which is an obscure, rather nasty Miss Manners satire selling the same message as Peter Rabbit's mother.

So Win, do you think Saddam Hussein is not a murderous fascist and responsible for the deaths of millions?

Do you think he should be allowed to stubbornly continue on his quite obvious path of rearming?

Do you think the al Qaeda ideology is not fascist?

Or, do you just not want folk to say mean things about fascists?

Here's a nice overview by an expert so don't try and run your Orwell schtick past me and say the word's meaningless.
