I think the amount is a lot less than popularly believed.

You're right. Saddam's a real nice guy. HE has only killed a few hundred thousand, while Hitler killed 6,000,000. It IS all about the numbers, is it not?

Of course not......what I am pointing out is that if someone examines the reasons given for taking Saddam out, one begins to see that charges against Saddam are somewhat trumped up. Furthermore, when you compare him to his neighbors, he's not all that more ruthless than the rest of them. I can understand how Reagan, Bush Sr. and Rumsfield decided to pick him to ally up with......if you going to ally with some ruthless better it be someone who is secular and reasonably intelligent.....right? I am assuming that was their thinking.

So what proof do we have that Saddam is worth taking out.

Does he have WMD? We believe so but haven't found any yet worth going crazy over.

Has he hooked up with al Qaeda. Maybe but the link is not that clear.

Is he capable of being ruthless and a mass killer. Yes, but so are his neighbors.....you could say Saddam is a product of his environment.......like gang members who grow up in the barrio.

That's all I was pointing out.
