Interesting that the details of his involvement didn't make the national news - at least not on the west coast. I just happened to see his picture with those of the grieving families in the LA Times. It's well known by practically everyone that he's an extortionist yet he still gets "unbiased" coverage by the press. Larry Elders, a local talk show host of the librarian persuasion who also happens to be black, goes after him constantly. Invites him on the show to defend himself, etc., and points out all the egeregious things he does.
