sure, sometimes there's a coordinated effort in the futures pit to jack up prices. this happens a few times a year. however, it happens far less now than it did while the bubble was raging. there is no mythical entity and far too much time is spent attributing simple supply and demand issues to some government related plot.

this is a game with rules that allow people to take money from the weak. it's always been that way and it will never change.
