Bob, thanks for that major wake up call. Is all this in the recent disclosure documents that Kinross filed with the SEC? <g> I hope every one who is interested in speculating in gold exploration reads this. The major problem has yet to surface in that the Russian economy is imploding due to all this stuff that's going on. Russia is losing population at a time when it should be growing. The situation is hopeless and chaos and anarchy are a step away like many of these so called countries. There's a big mess coming no matter what Bush does with Iraq, which will take years to solve but the invasion and occupation are going to happen. Should be good for gold but miserable for the Russian people. "By the dawns early light... the rockets red glare...that our flag was still there...oh say"...etc... It's starting to have a very special meaning, don't you think?

4 points about your Russian Mafia Story: 1) Wasn't just about Kinross... PAN AM SILVER was a major reference therein Ditto BGO 2) 30% of blackmarket gold sales is NO small potatoes lopped off topline revenue stream... and I thought Mali's 20% governmental "tax" was bad... 3) Cold War hatred of "western hemisphere" ANYTHING seems to be alive and well, especially in mining 4) Shocking amount of disclosure in that INTERNET article to this reader who has looooooong memory of "Pravda and Tass sez....... but no one knows if they can believe what they say" Cold War era survivor ...
