Russett,

I am disappointed in your answer. It has the same condescending tone that JK was referring too -- the "agree with me or you are an idiot" tone.

In any event, like you I deal with doctors on a daily basis. I find, particularly with a new med, they tend to be quite cautious. Further, I do not know where you get your meds from, but where I get mine the pharmacist has a key role in the process and goes into even more detail, including giving written documentation that reinforces what she has told you.

I also recall REK saying at one of the AGM meetings that during her dealings with the FDA they have never related any concerns about DMSO. Perhaps she in telling a lie or her definition of "concerns" is different than the rest of us.

There does seem to be no doubt that something is holding up things, but I am not sure that DMSO, in the context you are describing, is it.

Don't know what planet you live on Russett, but here in Alberta, Canada, I am told in exquisite detail about any drug that I purchase from the pharmacist. I am also given a fact sheet, even for drugs as common as Tylenol 3.
I'm confident that it is the same in Ontario.

Furthermore, your comment on doctors spinning patients through their revolving door does not wash in the UK, where the NHS covers the bills.
I saw on the news just yesterday that UK doctors may get up to a 50% pay increase, taking them to an average 125K pounds a year. Not exactly the kind of salary you go around frivolously buying yachts with.
Being a different health care system, it is not in their best interest to "run as many patients as they can".

<<< If DMSO was considered so benign,...you would have got your approval 4 years ago and we wouldn't be here whining about it. Someone other than me thinks there is a problem. >>>
You are making the (perhaps) false assumption that it is DMSO that is holding up HC & FDA approval.
