Excellent post
If anything terrorism will increase, especially against our troops if we try to occupy the area. Resentment will increase, and Arab sentiment will become even more hostile then it is now. Armies of occupation usually don't generate lots of goodwill.

There is no connection between terrorism and Iraq,

A patently absurd statement.

"terrorists will have more recruits, from among those who lose their loved ones, their homes, etc in Iraq, or just those who sympathise with the Iraqis" Gees, you are out of the loop, speak with any Iraqi that is not a crony of Saddam H. and all agree they welcome freedom from oppression. That is hardly an incubator for terrorism. So the invasion will result in less terrorism.

"explain why you think" resentment of America will diminish.

Because the results will be the same as Kosovo and Afghanistan, life is better for everyone there and it is plain for all the world to see, excepting of course you.

"Just how and when do you think Arab sentiment will suddenly change towards the US and its invasion of Iraq" When they realize that the people of the U.S. and its government harbor no ill will against the Iraqi people and they quickly realize the U.S. is not the butcher Saddam is.
