An interesting historical precedent might be the battle for Berlin in April, 1945. The Soviets had complete air control, enormous superiority in armor and artillery, and no concern for civilian casualties. The opposition ranged from (largely foreign) Waffen SS to untrained, badly-armed under- and over-aged Volksturm. The battle was over in a couple of weeks.

However, Soviet losses were massive.
