Hi Tim.

That's cute....and very dangerous

What was the dangerous part?

Gotta admit I thought it was kind of funny. LOL!

He had a <VBG> after it too. It's supposed to make you
smile.

It seems there are a lot of gold bugs who get so offended
if someone points out there might be a little bit of hype
built into those predictions.

How much different are they from the other guru's like
Gilder, Hager, Navelier and all the others. All of their
stuff sounded like it could not possibly be wrong. It all
made perfect sense. Well a few years removed and you can
see what a load of crap it's been. Hype built upon a hill
of assumptions.

Slider is at least bringing a voice of reason as to why
things may not go as perfectly as we keep reading on those
Golden Hype websites.

All of the hype and assumptions are usually built upon a
house of cards. It all sounds like common sense. Sounds
very rational. But how often does it work out so perfectly.

Also, while we are on the topic of mantras here's a good
one I read the other day:

"There are two equalizers in life, two things that make
everything perfect. One is laughter, and I forget the
other."

I'm not sure the other one is hype... <vbg>

Hype seems a lot more dangerous than laughter.
