Being this bear is just about the longest on record since
the 30s, I have some reservations about how good
indicators might work , like it's a sort of new situation
and the old indicators may not be as valid.
--
Longer term I see the price of crude oil/ natural gas as key to growth or contraction, ( the cost of energy ) is
permeated into every thing.
--
Short term I've fell back to using a price volume indicator
of the most popular traded stocks ( as traded per dollar)
against the major indexes.
But it's very short term and I don't get to watch it as much as I need to, however I'm doing a lot more watching than trading, & there seems to be a lot of rotation
with the market not going any where since Nov 1st.
