Waiting to see "the Hours" this past weekend, I spent a few minutes in a bookstore. Browsing the computer section, I overheard a couple of gentlemen speaking in a language I couldn't identify. So I asked, and was told Romanian. After a few paragraphs of conversation regarding possible reunification with Moldavia, and the scene at the famous "Flower Bridge", I was told that Romania along with other eastern European countries were unhappy with the Franco-German axis that was attempting to control the EU. I was reminded of this conversation when reading How should the Eastern European countries be seen and treated in the context of these European processes? About the way that Idaho is seen in the US.
