Ameritrade.... just saw a spot on CNBC..... no matter how many shares you trade, it's $11/trade?

I've discussed relocating from Schwab in the past. But, when I went to them to discuss a "no reset" for commission rates given a slow quarter? They bent over backwards to keep me. Given this and the, IMO, pronounced benefits of their consistent service and news feed, I've been a very happy camper again.

But....... for points in time when a low-priced stock is liquid? The Ameritrade hook could mean $1K or better for someone who is changing focus. Is there some sort of gimmick? If a trade order executes in multiple chunks, is it still considered a single trade????
