I was surprised, Hawk. Kind of balances off the remarks from Glover, who is attacking President Bush, claiming he's a racist. They are both great actors, but Glover is the one using the "race card."

James Earl Jones: Let's finish the job in Iraq this time

The Associated Press

Actor James Earl Jones, the deep voice behind Darth Vader of the "Star Wars" movies, said he doesn't oppose U.S. military action in Iraq, provided the country gets involved as soon as necessary and stays to finish the job.

"We can no longer play games," Jones said Tuesday at the Givens Performing Art Center. "I was not against the war in Bosnia. I was against it taking so long. I was not against the war in Somalia. Again, it took too long, and we didn't finish the job. We should've stayed and finished the job. About this pending war, I just think we should've finished that war the first time."

Hawk. Some interesting old photos here.
Saddam Hussein at a nuclear reactor in France in 1975. Jacques Chirac is at right in the glasses. Saddam wanted a nuclear reactor capable of producing plutonium for nuclear weapons. France supplied its Osiris reactor which was named Osirak (Osiris + Iraq]. It was being erected when it was destroyed in a Sunday strike [June 7, 1981] by the Israelis, timed to save the lives of the French scientists helping with the construction.

Saddam on the left... France's Chirac on the right.
