Many of the big names had large put/call ratios. There were some unusual upgrades during the last two weeks indicating big players were interested in pushing up the market and have many of those written puts expire worthless. If that was the case, as it appears, then someone must had been doing the buying to push the market. Given that the condition of the economy and politics is not at its best now, and with no more options headaches to worry about short term, it is likely any buying that was done in the last two weeks will be reversed next week (either pure selling or short selling).

It is interesting that many of these stocks have gone up exactly to the point where max pain is and seem to be having a real hard time passing that. Another signal the raise probably ends today.
