If all these Euro countries are down on the U.S., why don't they just attack the dollar? If they want to discredit Bush, just knock another 25% out from under the dollar, set off huge price increases in energy and other things in the U.S.,.

If they raised interest rates on the Euro two points above comparable maturities on the dollar, the dollar would cave in. Or so it seems to me.

But I guess they are afraid of starting a deflationary spiral over there.
