Joe: Huge increase in WinRar. It kind of makes sense, if my understanding of the algorithm is correct. I guess as they progress, they are looking for patterns that are already stored in the RAR file, so this "library" in the growing RAR file grows as the file size grows, way beyond 256 or 512K L2.

Yes, the dictionary file appears to be set at 4MB:

But I would still have assumed that WinRAR would be disk I/O limited.
