You are not mistaken.....I am happy to oblige. Extremities of stress have profound physiological implications, for example, in creating harmonal depletions and imbalances. Illnesses resulting from profound stress are not merely "psychosomatic", in the sense of imaginary or hysterical, but are actual changes challenging the body's homeostatic abilities. For example, extreme stress can cause the suppression of ordinary immunological functions, so that one can get very ill from microbes that one could usually resist. It can cause hair loss, asthma, obesity, cardiac arrhythmia, impotency, chronic fatigue, and all sorts of other undesirable symptoms.......
