i'm not sure that is true anymore.

at deeper ITM strikes on QQQ there is minimal "real" trading, there are only arbitrage programs on bid and ask sitting and waiting for...whatever. start raising the bid on ITM QQQ calls and the program on the other side reacts and QQQ moves and before you know it CSCO is trading up 87% for the day.

ok, so that's normal for CSCO anyway. -g-

but even just this morning, before the ramp got well and truly underway the bid side of ITM near-month qqq options went into premium. and it was definetely a program, not retailers playing suicide calls.
