Because he is leading the charge. HE is the going on national programs telling us "little people" to get rid of our SUVs, while he flies around in a private jet. Hypocritical to some degree until you stop and realize what it would be like to be RFK Jr. flying on a commercial flight. Not only would you endure the same ridiculous and unpleasant conditions we all face flying but you also have to endure all the questions a semi celebrity gets when in public. I am a strong environmentalist; however, I would make an exception when it comes to flying......I hate it. With all the inconvenience coupled with the worry of getting hijacked and rammed into a bldg., I'd take a private jet if I could. Doesn't make it right but we are all human. If you can't see that this is the height of hypocrisy, and don't have the intellectual honesty to admit it, what is the point to an argument with you? You don't concede even when you're blatantly, obviously wrong. I always admit when I am wrong......you just want me to admit that when I don't believe I am wrong. He lied? He started to equivocate; thought better of it and told the truth Like another famous liberal, he LIED, GOT CAUGHT, and HAD THE TRUTH FORCED OUT OF HIM. It was sickening. He absolutely DID NOT "think better of it". When you start doing something wrong, and then stop......its usually 'cause you think better of it. His behavior was disappointing.....no question. We expect more from our leaders but at least he didn't outright lie. you didn't mind Bush manipulating this country into a war with Iraq? There is not one documented instance of Bush lying. Period. You've already admitted he has at a minimum distorted the truth..........over a much more serious mattter than flying by private jet. Bush mislead this country re. Iraq; is that conservatism at its best? I haven't been misled; at no time during this process have I had any misunderstanding of facts surrounding Iraq. I'm sure you HAVE been misled because you don't even stay up to date on the news... You know damn well about what I am talking; for months you truly believed Bush was beating the war drums in order to force Saddam into submission. However, when it became apparent that short of exile, there was nothing that Saddam could do to stop the Bush war machine, you claimed you knew that that was his plan all along. The truth is you were deceived like the rest of us.
