The US was aiding the Iraqis while Israel was aiding the Iranians. So the Israeli's were supplying the Iranians with the f-4 Phantoms ...hmmm , OK that might do... Yet where did we get all those ---->Mig 23's and Mig 21's to supply the Iraqi airforce with? To attack the Iranian bases ? And by the end of 1982, Iraq had been resupplied with new Soviet materiel when ground war entered a new phase. Iraq threw newly acquired T-55 tanks and T-62 tanks, BM-21 Stalin Organ rocket launchers, and Mi-24 helicopter gunships into the frey ...etc etc .. We're (the US) unbelievably clever aren't we to have supplied all that Soviet material to Iraq don't you think so --->? Do you rewrite history in your head , always this inaccurately ? Do you dream this stuff up , or does it just dribble off your chin all by itself? ;-) (more irony, hope you don't get upset)
