You sound like all of the democratic hopefuls in the Presidential race. Have you thought of running?

Iraq is more about oil than anything else, obviously. Syria for instance has more arms than Saddam and supports terrorists much more than Saddam ever has or will. You dont see Bush putting them in his "Axis Of Evil". Iran is next with the third largest oil reserves. The Cheney-Halliburton-Bush-Carlyle-Chevron-BP plan is to create a US-controlled oil zone from Iraq to Afghanistan across Asia Minor. From a Texas oil company perspective it's a great idea (Kenny Lay wishes he could be in on it), but at what cost, using our military and national prestige this way? The 26 billion Bush wants to gibve to Turkey alone could fully fund a hydrogen energy infrastructure plan to actually get hydro vehicles on the road within 5-10 years. Also, who are we backing as we condemn a few like Saddam? the Northern Alliance we applaud has tripled opium production since we put them in charge. How many new heroin addicts as a result of this? But the war on drugs is not a priority except busting cancer victims in the US for smoking marijuana.
