The third plant will also cater to Hero Honda’s scooter plans should the company decide on an entry into that market post-’04 when both Honda outfits will be free to dabble across the two-wheel spectrum. “We are studying the market and if we do get into scooters it will be with technology from Honda,” Mr Lall said. “Hero Honda and Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India will work together as part of the Honda strategy to capture 50% of the Indian market,” he added.

If OE were able to announce a contract with a major automobile manufacturer the breakthrough of the 200 MA would be literally instantaneous. Then the day-traders would home in and work any price swings.

As for TA, it is only a trend guide and suggests possibilities. It cannot predict sudden events or economic conditions that may lie ahead. It has its place, but is not infallible. I do use TA as a part of my research analysis.

The recent report and events can be viewed as a positive. Now, if only the follow through works out! If Honda wants to enter the fray in India (bikes/scooters) and "will use its own technology"... it will be interesting if the Indian production with OE technology can outperform Honda. That would be something, wouln't it? If so, katy bar the door!
