So far IMHO, the growth in money supply has not been unusually high. Thus it appears deficit spending (monetary expansion) has been mostly financed and offset by sales of treasury securities (monetary contraction). If money supply growth accelerates without concurrent economic growth, danger of a stagflation environment rises IMHO.
