Yea, that whole thing is a joke, it's [hedonics] used in lots of other products btw. I'm still waiting of it to be announced that it will be used in the healthcare sector, you could see 'real' prices drop by 99.9%!

Actually, in my business, a 2003 Pentium with clock speed at 3GHz and the fastest available disks does almost 20 times the work of a 1995 PC. I'm sure this varies with the task. Sending email was and is almost instantaneous. There's no noticeable improvement there. Anyway I'm sure you're basically right. Beware the statements of the Bush administration!
