Russ - In case you have not noticed, Greenie loves to offer broad proclamations but he never provides any detailed explanation to support his statements.

The treadmill is turning at a vicious rate with production now down 6% and decline rates at an amazing rate.

The weather looks to accelerate the train wreck.

On demand ... another accurate index....watch the number of cars in your local high school parking lot. Gas is 1.85 in our town. I drive by the student parking lot every day on the way to work. It is still full! [average income/family in our area is only 2/3 state average so you know higher prices hurt.] Since they are still buying gas, I can only assume they spend less on other things. Gas for cars and NG for heating are quite inelastic.
