Bob can be disparaging to a caller (or guru) when he is not informed about the particular topic advanced by that person, or it contradicts his position. I am not sure if he considers that "entertainment", or it is just his mannerism. It is one of the characteristics I find least admirable about his radio persona.

I actually had no idea about the development of India as a call center until I read your post. I did some research into it, and it certainly looks like you might be onto something. Check out these two articles:

Bob is an idiot. Period

I also liked the call about the insurance question. The caller talked about some new term insurance whereby the company pays back premiums if they aren't used by the term of the policy.

Brinker immediately lambasted the caller for being so gullible and said that he had sat on the executive staff of some insurance company and that made him the expert... this type of policy doesn't exist and an insurance company would never write such a policy. What a blow hard!

Later a real expert caller tried to explain to Brinker that there were such policies out there but the catch was you pay a higher premium for this option. It's totally inexcusable for Brinker to miss this simple fact and subject a caller to such ridicule.

Yet another example of Brinker trying to substitute his limited knowledge for expert advice. Brinker is really turning into a first rate hack.
