Anti-Reagan? Anti-Clinton. A few years back,97, we visited Montreal and Quebec, where there's an interesting cross section of Canadians and French Canadians. The people we met, whether in small cities off the beaten track or in the two I mentioned were so nice. NOT oversolicitous because we were American, but pleasant. While my husband was having suits tailored, I went to get my hair cut. I spoke mal francais, the owner spoke a french and czech and another woman spoke español and french. Among the three of us, with such difficulty in the translation, we managed to communicate and laugh and have a great time and I never saw this antiamericanism of which you speak.
