If tourists identified themselves as republicans they'd get a blank stare. Nobody would know what they were talking about. Think about it m, if I was in Missouri and said I'm an Alliance party supporter I'd get the same look. In Canada you're seen as Americans, period. There is a resentment of american wealth and american power. To some extent, yes I'd agree. However, the word bullying would enter the logic for sure. There is a resentment of capitalism itelf ( not in Canada....we are capitalists also) and there is a tendency to blame the US for bin Laden and the Israelis for terror. ( It would not be my perception of, by far, most Canadians as to be blaming the US or Israelis for those items). When the US took the 9/11 hit, to its everlasting credit, few americans called for a return to isolationism or an abandonment of our ally, democratic israel. I feel no motivation to comment one way or the other on that. I guess I'd say "OK".Bin Laden to this day must be scratching his head, ruing the day he awakened the US. I'm inclined to agree but part of me also says " I wonder if OBL is pleased the jihad is evolving as he designed".Now other nations, unintentionally want to repare the damage done to him by giving us pacifism, appeasement and anti semitism as alternate policies. I might counter with a view from a different perspective. "Now the US, unintentionally wants to repare the damage done to it by persuing dangerous wars and inciting dangerous ill-conceived global threats and challenges as policies. "This worries me Condor. mike It worries all of us mike or we wouldn't take the abuse and time to post here. Let's pray that regardless of each of our vision of the solution that indeed a solution is ultimately achieved. Regards C
