Yeah, Frank P. I always look at backwardization (along with first notice day, volume and open interest before I take a position in futures). I corrected my previous post to read 13 months. The last 13 month cycle was back in November, which is when I took a position. I'm not short, but I might hedge my longs with puts if that uptrend line is broken. I don't think this will be a replay of the 1990 scenario since everyone is expecting it. The risks are too great to be short futures without any hedges.
