If you don't understand the philosophical basis of the the Declaration, you can't understand the Constitution which was build on the same foundation by many of the same men.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--

Reading that sentence with Creator capped and suggesting it "is subject to your own definition....could be your parents..." also has earned you the right to the moniker "Oh stupid one."
