I think you and I had this conversation over a year ago.
Certainly everyone has a right to do what they want with their money.
I can't say I agree with you
In fact I straight up disagree.
But that's part of what makes this the greatest country in the world.

If we are really "all that" we should be able to find a competitive advantage to buying "american" rather than relying on blind nationalism.



Sure, that sounds great in print.
Unfortunately the reality of it is that there is just no competing with slave labor.
I think that is the biggest difference.
It's not innovation, USA is probably leaps and bounds above China in that category.
Rather it comes down to paying someone, by our standards, a "decent living" and providing health care for those employees and their families as well as other perks and benefits- you know, turkeys at Thanksgiving, hams at Easter, just to mention a few.
Or christmas parties and summer picnics.

Not in our life times will we see China rise to that level of humanity.
